Looking for halal food in Tokyo? I suggest you to visit Malaychan which located at Ikebukuro. Malaychan acquired Halal certificate from prestigious Halal certified institution from Malaysia at a very early stage. For Moslem travelers in Japan, you don't have to worry about what is inside of the meals, you can enjoy the food there without any strees. Anyway, this restaurant has two branches, first is a restaurant that serves Malaysian cuisine while second Mlaychan serves Malaysian-Chinese meals such as Bak kut Teh.

This restaurnat's name originated from the traditional and well-used Malayasian ingredient, Malaychan sauce. This sauce is used for Nasi Goreng and other leading Malaysian cuisine. This sauce includes shrimps and different kinds of herbs and is the important ingredient to cook Malaysian cuisine. They offers range of menu options available with many Malaysian styles such as Malay, Chinese, Indian and Nyonya. The most wanted are Satay, Malay Pickles, Fresh Spring Roll, Muratabak and otak-otak.

I had their chicken curry which is very tasty althou the spicy not too strong. The taste is very authentic and remind me about Indonesian food.

I also tried their Nasi Goreng with chicken satay. The satay is well cooked and I really love it. Makes me feel homesick.
