Hi guys, today I'd like to share what's my favorite place for breakfast in Singapore. I've shared before that I love spent my breakfast time in The Roti Prata House, but now I'm gonna taste toasted bread named Kaya Toast.

Maybe some of you are not familiar with Kaya Toast, it's toast bread filled with butter and kaya. Kaya is a jam made from eggs, sugar, coconut milk and pandan leaves. This dish mostly served with half boiled eggs and hot tea or coffee. This dish is popular in Singapore for breakfast and coffee break time. In Singapore, you can find it in many places but the best one is in Ya Kun Kaya Toast.

Ya Kun Kaya Toast already have many outlets around Singapore, there are in Far East Square, Suntec City, Paragon, PoMO, Golden Show Car Park, People's Park Centre, Bugis Junction, 313@Somerset, Raffles City and many more. This restaurant already exist since 1944 and founded by Loi Ah Kooh. The original shops is at 18 China Street, Far East Square.

Well, this place like in old china town and the menu price are very cheap for this authentic kaya bread.

I've ordered Kaya Toast with butter set which consist of Bread toasted which perfectly complemented by soft-boiled eggs and a hot coffee with only SGD 4.80. Anyway, you choose coffee or tea.

It's first warm, rough and crisp, standing somehwere between a biscuit and soft wondrous bread. Moreover the sweet ans creamy entrance of the legendary coconut jam. Super tasty. Ya Kun Kaya Toast is never fails to satisfy. Otherwise, for you who didn't like toast, you can choose other menu such as Mee Siam and Laksa which are very delicious also. Don't forget to bring the super delicious jam home. So, go visit Ya Kun Kaya Toast to feel breakfast like Singaporean :)
