Another day in New York and I'm going to visit one of famous park in this city. Brooklyn Botanic Garden is located at 990 Washington Ave, Brooklyn. To reach this garden, you can take the 2 or 3 train to the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum Station and you'll see the Eastern Parkway entrance to the Broklyn Botanic Garden just to the right of the museum.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden is one of my list place that I must visit when travel in New York. This garden is very beautiful in any season and features over 12000 different species of plants and represent some of the very best in urban gardening and horticultural display. This Botanic Garden was opened in 1910 and over the past 100 years, it has been expanded, renovated and improved by city officials ans others who have dedicated time and money for this garden.
Their specialty gardens, each of which blooms at a different time of year, ensure that the return visitor will always have something to see. On the next clear day in Brooklyn, set some time aside to smell the roses.
From March until October, ther garden is open Tuesday through Friday at 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday and Sunday open from 10 am to 6 pm. It closed on Mondays, but open Memorial Day and Columbus Day from 10 am to 6 pm.
From November through February, this garden is open from Tuesday through Friday from 8 am to 4.30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4.30 pm. It's closed on Mondays, but open on Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day and Washington's birthday from 10 am to 4.30 pm. This garden also closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.

This garden hosts an annual Cherry Blossom Festival in late April/early May. Considering how big the Japanese gardens are here and how beautiful the cherry blossom trees are when they are blooming. I don't have to go to Japan to see Sakura Festival, I can see it in the heart of New York City. Such a lovely place to visit with your loved one, isn't it?
Anyway, if you are interesting to visit this garden for the Sakura festival, better you buy the admission fee long day before, the price is about $15 per adults. As I said before, this garden closed on Monday, so choose the day except Monday. Bring camera for capturing moment, bring snacks and drinks but always keep this place clean. Don't littering, no smoking and don't pick the plants :)
