Taipei 101 is the second tallest building in the world after Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
How to Get There
Hi guys, this is my second day at Taipei. I'll explore Taipei for next 5 days. Actually, I arrived at Taipei last night, but because it's too late for exploring this beautiful city, I decided to check in at hotel and rest for charging my energy. This morning after breakfast at hotel, I go to my first destination in Taipei, Taipei 101 Tower. It's very to to get to this building, you can take Red Line (Xiangshan train) to Taipei 101 station. Or you can take the Blue Line to Taipei City Hall Station which located beneath Hankyu Department Store. Continue by walk to the south and enter the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi complex towards 101.
What to Do
Taipei 101 is the second tallest building in the world after Burj Khalifa in Dubai. This building is consist of many functions, such as mall and shopping center, hotel and offices. Beside that, this building has observatory on the top of the tower in 89 floor. This observatory has become popular tourism object for locals or foreigners since opened on 2004.
My main destination is visit the observatory because I want to seeing the city of Taipei from the above. Before entering the observatory, you should buy ticket in 5 floor. This floor is like a mall where visitors can shopping and eating. There are ticketing machine where you can buy the observatory's ticket buy put some money into the machine and you'll get the ticket. Very simple and easy. The ticket price for one person is about TWD 600.
Other thing that impresed me is the lift. FYI guys, this lift is the fastest lift in the world which could lifted 20 person to 89 floors only less than 1 minutes. Moreover, I don't feel anything inside the lift then suddenly I arrive at 89 floors.
From this floor you can see all of Taipei City. Don't worry, this floor is very safe especially if you bring your children bacause this floor covered by very thick glass but still clear to see the outside. You can take picture as long as you want here.
