How to Get There
Beside Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven is one of must visit place when in Beijing. Temple of Heaven is located in the south of Beijing old city, District Xuan Wu. For get to this place, you can take Subway Line 5 and get off at Tiantan Dongmen Station. After that, leave from exit A and find the East Gate of the park.

What to Do
Temple of Heaven is a place where Emperor King and Ming celebrating ritual and sacrifice for giving honour to the Heaven and ask for good harvest. This building was built on 1406 - 1420 during the government of Yongle Emperor, who also in charge for built Forbidden City. This temple which become Heritage Site by Unesco since 1998, located in the big park where you can see the Chinesse people practice Taijiquan and Qigong.
There are 2 gate for entering Temple of Heaven, south gate and north gate. From South Gate, you'll find Edaran Aisle which built on 1530 and rebuilt on 1740 in a square which represent of earth, circle aisle represent of heaven.
The two gates are connected by Danbi Bridge. The emperors believed that they could go to heaven by this bridge. It has three routes, the central one was the imperial route used by the emperor exclusively and the other side was the princess's route. The other route was for high officials.

Tips and Trick
Temple of Heaven is open daily from 6.30 am to 10 pm (November - March) with admission fee CNY 30 included Hall of prayer for Good Harvest, Circular Mound Altar and Echo Wall. If you come on April - October, this temple will be open from 6 am tp 10 pm with admission fee CNY 35. If you're going to visit this heritage site, prepare your stamina for walk by wear comfortable shoes and polite dress. Don't forget to always keep this place clean and don't litter :)
