How to Get There

For visit this garden, you can take MRT from Harbourfront station in Vivo City complex to CC19 Botanic Garden. But if you went by bus, you can take bus which through Holland Road with number SBS Number transit 7, 105, 123, 174 and SMRT 75, 77, 106. Also, you can take bus through Bukit Timah with number transit SBS 48, 66, 151, 154, 156, 170 and AMRT 67, 171. 

 

What to Do

Singapore Botanic Garden is the only garden which open starting from 05.00 AM to 12.00 AM. This garden has no entrace fee, but if you want to visit National Orchid Garden, you should buy entrance fee around SGD 8 for adult and SGD 1 for children and elders, for children below 12 years is Free.

This Botanic Garden has so many kind of plants from around the world, especially from Asia. This garden is good place for relax while enjoy nature. This large garden located in the heart of the city since 1859 with 70 hectare area. It has many kind of rare plants which grow here.

One more interesting place in this place is National Orchid Garden which has 3 hectare area. This garden have 700 kind of orchind from all over the world which very beautiful. More than 2000 kind hybrid orchid grow here, of course this garden become such a heaven for orchid collector.

Besides, you can see the beauty of Cool House. One of greenhouse which consist of plants from mountain or topical area. There are also 250 types of palm which grow inside this garden, called Palm Valley.

In this place you can found The Botanic Gardens Shop which sell books about environment and plants, also unique souvenirs.

Anyway, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been visited this garden during their trip in Singapore on September 2012. So guys, don't forget to visit this garden if you are in Singapore.
