I had just touched down in Kuala Lumpur (again) for bussiness trip (again). I arrive at Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon, so I still have free time until night before meeting in office tomorrow. Bored with some mainstream cafe in Kuala Lumpur, I search of rooftop bar where I could grab some drinks wile seeing Kuala Lumpur from above. Then, my office mate, Rollan, suggest me to visit Heli Lounge Bar. I've been visit Kuala Lumpur for many time, but I never know this place. So, I directly go there.
Heli lounge bar is located at KH Tower, Sultan Ismail Street, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. Heli Lounge Bar is a fully functional helipad by day that converts into one of the world's coolest rooftop bars by night.
Arriving at the building, I take elevator up to th 34th floor. It's made up of two separate levels, a nightclub on the top floor and the helipad bar on the roof above. I enter the nightclub area which has distinctive black and white color scheme with blood red accents.
Because I arrive in the afternoon when the bar just open so I get a table near the edge with a great view. But be careful, there's no gate on this rooftop.
For the menu, there's no special menu in this bar. Like other bars, they serve cocktails, wines and beers with price start from MYR 30.
The roof of the KH Tower Buildin is a fully operational for helicopter pad during the day so the bar doesn't open until late afternoon / early evening. The adventage is, you can see the sunset from above. Anyway, if you are going to visit this place, you should know that you have to order menu first before you enter to the Heli Lounge.
The helipad is opend at 5 pm for drinks and appetizers during sunset and then turns into more of a nightclub at 9 pm with dress code becoming much stricter. You can check the dress code here. And because I don't bring any dress code, so I have to go before 9 pm. So sad, I wish I could spent bit longer here, but I have to wake up earlier tomorrow for meeting. Hehehe..
