Tired exploring Penang Botanic Garden and Wonderfood Museum, now I really hungry. It's a lunch time and I'm gonna taste typical food of Penang,Nasi Lemak (Lemak Rice). Actually, I've tried Nasi Lemak so many time when I visit Kuala Lumpur, but my friend said this Nasi Lemak is different from Nasi Lemak in Kuala Lumpur. So, I stop at Projek Nasi Lemak Box which located in Padang Kota Lama (Esplanade), near the children's playground, 10200 George Town, Penang. It's more like street food in container and I really like it, because I can enjoy the food in outdoor area.
Projek Nasi Lemak Box served Cheese baked Lobster with fragrance rice cooked with coconut milk and dyed blue with butterfly pea flower. It's remind me of Nasi Kerabu that I've been tasted when I visit Kuala Lumpur. This rice is served on a rattan tray, on a banana leaf, to go with anchovies, pickled cucumber, peanuts, egg and sambal.
Besides lobster, Nasi Lemak can also be served with chicken, fish, prawns or squid. For a portion of Nasi Lemak with lobster is about MYR 96, it's still reasonable price for stil super delicious meals.
Overall, I recommend you to taste this yummy rice when you visit Penang. Beside the meals, the service was good also and the ambience is amazing. You can lunch under the tree and get fresh sea breezes which makes your lunch feel so good. Projek Nasi Lemak Box is open daily (except Wednesday is closed) from 11.30 pm to 3 pm and 6 pm until midnight.
